– At least 2 weeks prior to the procedure: stop using topical hair treatments or blood-thinning medications.

– At least 1 week prior: No smoking one week before or after.

– 3 days before: No alcohol up to the time of the procedure.

– Day of procedure: No coffee or caffeine of any kind up to the time of the procedure.

This is an outpatient procedure performed in our office and requires only a local anesthetic. The patient feels virtually no pain. Some patients can experience minor discomfort and swelling post-procedure, which subsides in one to three days—a much faster recovery than other methods.

Our hair restoration transplant procedure is minimally invasive—accurately and intelligently harvesting individual follicles—which means no unsightly linear scarring.
